what is 1529 on-ramp?

     1529 on-ramp is an introduction to crossfit that will expose you to some of the movements we do.  it explains the methodology of the program, and takes some of the mystery out of nutrition, and its important role in fitness.  There are 3 one-on-one personal training sessions, teaching you everything you need to know to start your crossfit journey. 

Who has to do 1529 on-ramp?

     anyone who is new to crossfit.  this is the time and the place to learn new skills and hone your abilities in a one-on-one session.  we strive to do the common, uncommonly well.

What if i've done crossfit before?

     perfect!  jump into classes if you're an experience crossfitter!  this means you've completed an introductory course at another crossfit affiliate and then were an active member for at least 3 months.  if this is you, then you can test out of the on-ramp program, and jump right into regular classes.  this is the formal way to start out at our gym.  the test out session is a one hour session where you will do a 1529 Benchmark workout to officially be welcomed into our community.

     if you've watched all the videos online, or maybe joined your buddy for a wod in the garage, then you've got an idea of what crossfit is about, but if that is the extent of your experience, the on-ramp program is still for you!

what  will we do in an on-ramp session?

     each session will run like a typical crossfit class.  you will begin with a general warm up, followed by some specific warm up movements tailored toward what you will be doing that day.  after you are warm, you will learn the skill, or skills for the day.  once your are comfortable with these skills, you will finish out your session with a workout.

how much does the 1529 on-ramp course cost?

     the on-ramp course costs $200.  that includes one month of the on-ramp program.  you will have 30 days to complete the 3 one-on-one sessions.  if you finish the sessions before the month is over (most people do), you can start taking regular classes for the remainder of the 30 days.  during the remaining 30 days of regular classes, you will also receive personal mentoring for every class you plan on taking.
